Blackjack Big Winner
With his triumphant slaughter of three Atlantic City casinos in late 2011 and early 2012, Don Johnson is one of the most famous names in modern advantage play. After a five-month stint and three casino hits courtesy of his blackjack skills, Don Johnson earned the nickname ‘The Killer from Atlantic City.
In the period from December 2010 to April 2011, Johnson won $5 million at three different casinos.
During the 12-hour sessions, Johnson won $4.23 million at Caesar’s and $5 million at Borgata’s casinos, but his most impressive win was $5.8 million at Tropicana Casino, where every bet stood at $100,000. Don essentially won close to $15 million across 3 casinos within a 12-hour time span.
It was not without criticism, however, and some suspected Johnson had manipulated card counts to win. Johnson has denied any foul play but there’s no telling whether Johnson is telling the truth or not. The truth is only known to Don himself.
A large amount of publicity has been generated by his success at blackjack, but he also became a target for being banned from several casinos, which prevent their most successful gamblers from getting too close to their tables.
